The Egan Leadership class works very hard to make sure we remember to have fun and enjoy ourselves together. In addition to other activities, we plan the Spirit Days to make sure you remember to laugh and smile with your friends.

Spirit Days are held throughout the year, and we hope you'll join in. We might wear our school colors one day and have prizes at lunch for the best examples of blue & yellow craziness. Or, we might wear our pajamas because we need to chill out. Spirit Days are just for fun — no grades, no pressure.

School Dances are held every quarter in the multi. We have DJs, lots of music, decorations and snacks. Check the calendar, listen to the announcements, and put those dates in your planner -- you won't want to miss our dances.

School dances are for Egan students only. Tickets go on sale the week of the dance, and cost more at the door. There are no in-out privileges at dances. To attend, you must have been at school at least 4 periods of the day of the dance. Dances are from 7 to 9pm, and you must be picked up by 9:15pm.

LAYC (Los Altos Youth Center) Dances — this is NOT a school-sponsored activity.

The Los Altos Recreation Department offers LAYC Dances for local 7th and 8th grade students and their junior high school guests. The dances are held at the Los Altos Youth Center (LAYC) from 7:30 to 10:00 p.m. typically on the first Friday of each month. LAYC membership cards can be purchased at Egan during lunch on specific dates in September. Please check with LAYC for the calendar of dances and for more information.
